Abstract newlineSince ancient times, wound care has been a vital aspect of healing, deeply rooted in both newlinetraditional and modern medicine. Ayurveda, particularly the work of Sushruta, emphasizes newlinestructured approaches to wound management through Vrana Ropana and the Shashti newlineUpakramas. In modern wound care, skin substitutes and antibacterial dressings like Framycetin newlinesulphate Tulle are widely used. This study explores the comparative efficacy of a novel newlineAyurvedic dressing Dhataki Ghrit Tulle against Framycetin Tulle in managing chronic nonhealing newlineulcers (Dushta Vrana). newlineA randomized controlled trial was conducted with 228 patients aged 18 60 years, divided into newlinethree groups. Group A (n=76) underwent Dhataki Ghrit Tulle application, Group B (n=76) newlinereceived Plain Goghrith Tulle application and Group C (n=76) underwent Framycetin newlineSulphate Tulle application daily for 30 days. Assessment was done on change in wound surface newlinearea, pain, Itching, Burning, and Discharge on day 0, 7th, 14th, 30th. Results indicated significant newlineimprovement in all the groups; however, Dhataki Ghrit tulle demonstrated more efficacy to newlinePlain Goghrit tulle and Framycetin Sulphate Tulle application. newlineThe study revealed that Dhatki Gruth Tulle showed a 45.02% greater effect than Framycetin newlineTulle and 11.802% more than Plain Gruth Tulle. Its enhanced efficacy is attributed to a novel newlinehydroalcoholic extraction method ensuring potency, stability, and sterility. newlineKeywords: Dhatki Gruth Tulle, Dushta Vrana, Chronic non-healing ulcers, Ayurvedic wound newlinecare, Hydroalcoholic extraction, Vrana Ropana, Framycetin sulphate Tulle. newline
