Abstract
Since 1999, the researcher has observed widespread anxiety, dissatisfaction, and stress
newlineamong education employees, including teachers, administrators, and principals, which
newlinealso affects students and parents. Stress appears to be an inherent part of modern work
newlinelife, affecting employees across sectors in the 21st century.
newlineStress is a widespread issue affecting individuals in all aspects of life, including the
newlineworkplace, and can harm mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health. It leads to
newlinereduced productivity, absenteeism, and burnout. Stress has two components: stress
newlinetriggers (circumstances causing anxiety) and stress responses (reactions to triggers),
newlineand can be categorized into external and internal stress.
newlinePrivate school employees, including teachers and staff, face various stressors like heavy
newlineworkloads, challenging students, and job insecurity, impacting their well-being and the
newlinequality of education. Stress factors can be categorized into four types (Physical,
newlinePsychological, Psychosocial, and Psychospiritual) and can vary in duration. Common
newlinestress symptoms include Physical, Emotional, Psychological, and Behavioral signs. The
newlineprimary sources of stress are Pressure, Conflicting Motives, and Frustration.
newlineSpecific sources of stress include life situations, daily annoyances, relationship
newlineproblems, and social circumstances. Contributing factors include Type A personality,
newlinehostility, perfectionism, procrastination, and learned helplessness. Stress has three
newlinelevels: mild, moderate, and severe, which can progress through alarm, resistance, and
newlineexhaustion phases. Consequences of stress include physical, emotional, psychological,
newlinebehavioral, social, and long-term health effects. This research aims to explore stress
newlinemanagement strategies for private school employees in Ahmedabad and identify
newlinesolutions to reduce or manage stress.
