Abstract
Concrete is human-made substance that is the most commonly utilized
newlinecomposite material on the planet. At the same time, unfortunately, it
newlinerepresents a source of concern when it comes to environmental degradation. It
newlineis of maximum importance to investigate the materials used to manufacture
newlineconcrete, as well as their broader environmental impact. The main objective
newlineof this research is to advance the adaptation of new types of aggregate in the
newlineform of mixed recycled aggregate from the building and demolition debris.
newlineThe earlier researches have a limited usage of recycled aggregates
newlinefrom the CDW recycling plant instead of natural aggregates. This limitation
newlineof earlier researches has been overcome in this current research by improving
newlinethe mechanical, durability and microstructural properties of recycled
newlineaggregate concrete using the concept of cementitious particle packing density.
newlineThe findings of this research can further advance the usage of coarse and fine
newlinerecycled aggregates and facilitates better management of demolition waste in
newlinethe construction industry.
newlineThe physical and chemical requirements of cementitious materials,
newlinenatural and recycled aggregates (coarse and fine) were studied in detail. The
newlinefresh density, variation in workability, and strength properties of recycled
newlineaggregate concrete were tested for various replacement levels of recycled
newlineaggregates. The data obtained from the experiment was designed by using
newlineMinitab v18.1 software and fuzzy logic tool in MATLAB v9.13.0 (R2022b).
newlineThe correlations were built using the outcomes of the hardened characteristics
newlineof recycled aggregate concrete.
