Study habits of secondary school students in relation to their parents involvement in schooling a study of Ganjam district of Odisha

Abstract

Researchers have been trying since a long to find out the factors responsible for newlineachievement of children at schools (Sakirudeen and Snni, 2017). Besides many cognitive newlinefactors, past researchers have identified non-cognitive factors like parent involvement newline(Henderson and Mapp, 2002) and study habits (Siahi and Maiyo, 2015) of students as newlinepertinent factors of educational achievement. When parent involvement and study newlinehabits both are related with achievement of students, the relation between the two drew newlinethe attention of researcher for the purpose of study owing to dearth of adequate past newlinestudies. The researcher conducted the present study in Ganjam district of Odisha newlinebecause of its cultural rigidity and existence of gender related issues.
