Exploring the Relationship amongst Absorptive Capacity Exclusivity over External Technology and Open Innovation

Abstract

newline Open innovation and absorptive capacity relate to the process of acquiring external knowledge like technology for innovation performance. There has been extensive research on both the concepts. Open Innovation is the practice oriented perspective and absorptive capacity is predominantly the academic conceptualisation of the organisational routines. The research connecting the two have been increasing in newlinerecent times but still is relatively low. newlineThis study connects the open innovation processes with the two components of newlineabsorptive capacity, namely Potential and Realised absorptive capacity (Zahra and George, 2002) alongwith the constructs of Exclusivity to use and value of the externally sourced technology for innovation performance . newline
