dc.description.abstractIn the present work Li2MnO3 nanoparticles were prepared by sol-gel newlinemethod using Lithium acetate, Manganese acetate as precursor and citric acid newlineas gelling (chelating) agent respectively. The TGA/ DTA (Thermo gravimetric newlineanalysis and Differential Thermal analysis) measurements and the X-ray newlinediffraction patterns of Li2MnO3 nanoparticles prepared by sol-gel method newlineexhibits temperature, weight difference of the nanoparticles and peaks newlinecorresponding to the monoclinic phase of Li2MnO3. The SEM and EDAX newlineanalysis and HRTEM analysis of the prepared sample shows the presence of newlinenearly non-uniform stackered layered like morphology structure. For the newlineHRTEM lattice fringe pattern the d-spacing values were calculated, and it was newlinefound to be 2.34Å, 1.91Å and this matches well with the obtained XRD results. newlineFor an electrochemical analysis the precursors was grinded into a paste in a newlinemolar ratio of 8:1:1 by using PVDF (Polyvinylidene fluoride) as binder, Super newlineP carbon as activated carbon and NMP (N-methyl pyrrolidone) as solvent, and newlineit was then coated in an aluminium foil and it is fabricated using cell assembly newlineglove box to form coin cell using LiPF6 (Lithium hexfluorophosphate) as newlineelectrolyte, PVP (Polyvinylpyrrolidone) as separator and further it was newlinecharacterized in an electrochemical work station. The Charge discharge analysis newlineof the characterized sample was analyzed and it depicts the charge discharge newlinevoltage deploys between 3V to 4V. From the cyclic voltammetry the Li-ion newlineinteraction lies between intercalation and de-intercalation mechanism. The newlineImpedance spectroscopy depicts the amount of resistance involved in the newlineelectrochemical studies. newline
