| dc.description.abstract | The integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) into various sectors newlinehas ushered in a new era of resource management, enabling enhanced newlineefficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. This research, titled, Design newlineand Integration of Novel IoT-Based Smart Systems for Optimized Resource newlineManagement , presents three novel IoT-enabled systems addressing distinct newlinechallenges in commercial, domestic, and agricultural sectors: the IoT-enabled newlineIntelligent Demand Side Management System (IoT-IDSMS), the IoT-enabled newlineSmart Air Conditioner Management System (IoT-SACMS), and the IoT-enabled newlineSmart Agriculture Management System (IoT-SAMS). Collectively, these systems newlinedemonstrate how IoT technologies, coupled with advanced algorithms and newlinepredictive models, can optimize energy consumption, enhance user comfort, and newlineimprove operational efficiency. newlineThe IoT-IDSMS focuses on reducing electricity costs and optimizing newlineenergy utilization in commercial building environments. Implemented at newlineQuantanics TechServ Pvt. Ltd., Madurai District of Tamil Nadu, the system newlineintegrates renewable Photovoltaic (PV) energy and employs the Artificial Bee newlineColony (ABC) algorithm to perform load shifting and rescheduling, prioritizing newlineessential operations during peak demand periods. The results highlight the newlinesystem s effectiveness in reducing peak energy demand by 21.26% and achieving newlinesubstantial cost savings. By enabling real-time monitoring and dynamic load newlinemanagement through IoT technologies, IoT-IDSMS ensures seamless operation newlinewhile alleviating grid stress. newline | |
