Abstract
Indian migration is a known traditional phenomenon. Since the 1970s upward flow in
newlinemigration to Gulf nations was recorded that was a direct result of a surge in crude oil
newlineprice and progress in development activities. With time, processes related to
newlineemployment and migration, has been gradually improved. The Gulf migration has
newlinechanged the life standard of many Indians. This has brought prosperity and welfare to
newlinethe society. Not only individuals, but the nation s GDP was strengthened by the
newlineinward remittance contribution as its part. The inward remittance received through
newlinemigrants has resulted in economic boost and utilized for the infrastructural
newlinedevelopment of states. However, like always the coin have two sides. Another dark
newlineside of the coin reveals the atrocities and inhuman experience the migrants are facing
newlineto secure the petro-dollars in gulf countries. The exploitation of labor rights in Gulf
newlinecountries is an old topic of debate, and a known truth to the world. This study is
newlineconfined to the Indian migrants employed in the United Arab Emirates. The analysis
newlinehas emphasized the labor welfare management of the Indian diaspora, toiling in Jebel
newlineAli Free Zone Authority (JAFZA), UAE, a Special Economic Zone. The research
newlinestudy has observed the situation of their living standard, health care, compensation
newlineagainst toil, socioeconomic status, and psychological state. In addition, the researcher
newlinehas covered the corollary of digitization, introduced by labor welfare authorities for
newlinethe scrutiny of establishment and nurturing of the migrant laborers. The focus is on
newlineemphasizing the real-life situation and exploitation of workers rights and their misery
newlinein these special economic zones, where the industrial units have been privileged with
newlinespecial status and excused from standard labor law of the countries.
