Evaluation of accumulated hard tissue debris removal in mandibular molars using micro-CT: a systematic review and network meta-analysis. newline newlineResults and Conclusion newlineThe root canal isthmi is often very complex and extends in the corono-apical direction. It is very commonly seen in the mesial roots of mandibular molars and mesiobuccal root of maxillary molars. newlineThe micro-ct investigation revealed the isthmi to be complex and extending in the corono-apical direction. The survey amongst Indian endodontist revealed, most of them used some form of irrigant activation technique (IAT). Manual dynamic activation and passive ultrasonic activation were the most commonly used agitation methods used. newlineA new tooth model was developed to evaluate the effect of different irrigant activation techniques on the biofilm in root canal isthmus. Passive ultrasonic irrigation and Endo activator techniques showed better anti-biofilm action in RCI when compared to syringe needle irrigation. The systematic review on removal of accumulated hard tissue debris(AHTD) revealed that, none of the IATs eliminate the AHTD completely from the RCI. newline newline
