Novel Routing Techniques for Wireless Sensor Network with Enhanced Lifetime

Abstract

WSN is considered a group of sensor nodes that can sense or monitor newlineenvironmental parameters. The sensed data are forwarded to the base station through newlinemulti hops. In WSN, the energy conservation is the primary consideration. It has a newlinelimited power source on the nodes, hence there is a need to focus on different newlinemethods based on the availability of energy. It is more prominent for long-distance newlinecommunication. Therefore, multi-hop routing is considered and it has minimized the newlinecost but cannot obtain a suitable path. In this paper, a Multi-Objective Multi-Hop newlineRouting (MOMHR) is introduced for detecting the best data route for extending newlinelifetime of the network. Initially, the K-means algorithm is considered for grouping newlinenodes into K clusters. Then, an Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) optimization algorithm newlineis established to select the possible CH from every cluster. Further, the multi-hop newlinerouting protocols use multi-objective functions to determine the multi-hop path and newlinelow cost of communication from the modes to the base station (BS). A MOMHR newlinerouting protocol is suitable for proper CH selection with high residual energy and to newlinerecognize the appropriate set of CH for the entire network area at a particular time. newlineFinally, improved energy usage and network lifetime are achieved.
