Wilt disease, a devastating malady affecting Punica granatum (pomegranate) newlinecultivation, poses a multifaceted challenge, notably by inducing soil nutrient depletion newlineand precipitating substantial yield losses. In this research endeavor, I embark on an newlineexhaustive exploration to comprehend the intricate interplay between wilt disease, newlinemicrobial communities, and soil health, coupled with a fervent quest to devise newlineefficacious remediation strategies. newlineTo elucidate the prevailing disease dynamics and the associated microbial consortia, a newlinemeticulous sampling regime was implemented, encompassing wilt-affected newlinepomegranate plants. Rhizosphere soil and root specimens were judiciously harvested newlinefrom various stages of wilt infection. Leveraging the power of 16S targeted newlinemetagenomics, I delved into the pomegranate rhizosphere exploring the taxonomic newlinedetails of various inhabitant microbes and their communities.
