All the Methanolic plant extract were effective against all MDR bacterial isolates at varying concentrations but the best and most effective results were produced by Syzygium aromaticum, Camellia sinensis, Azadirachta indica and Aloe vera. These plant extracts gave larger zone of inhibition and least minimum bactericidal concentration values. These plant extracts were also effective in reducing the biofilm formation produced by MDR bacterial isolates by more than 50%. newline- Therefore, our study concludes that medicinal plants contain several bioactive- compounds like tannins, terpenoid structures, organic acids, numerous flavonoids, coumarins, polyprenols which have potential anti-bacterial and antibiofilm activity against wide range of bacterial pathogens. newline- Further, well-designed in vivo clinical trials are needed for isolation, identification and characterization of newer bio molecules that can be formulated into antibacterial drugs. newline
