Water is one of the prime sources for the survival of living species on earth. The water scarcity in the world is increasing day-by-day. The increasing demand for water will results in increasing demand for electricity from the thermal power plants. In order to overcome this problem, thermal plants are insisted to implement water recycling process. As a consequence, water recycling becomes an important challenge for many countries, particularly in countries where this natural resource is rare. On the other hand, in thermal power plant, an abundant amount of water vapour will be released to the atmosphere as a waste from cooling tower. This waste water vapour which is rejected to the environment will cause serious environment damages. This could be prevented by condensing this wasted water vapor into water using a condenser. As a result, the scope of this work is to recover water from the water vapour. Consequently various methodologies were adopted to retrieve water from the waste of the industry. Among those topologies, Solar still are frequently utilized because of its easier construction. But, it yields only a less amount of water when compared to other system. Its production capacity ranges from 2 to 5 l/m2 per day and it turn becomes uneconomical. To address this research gap, this work proposed a methodology of combination of new condenser and duct system which are coupled with cooling tower to maximize freshwater yield newline
