Synthesis of Organic Molecules and Their Application in Dye Sensitized Solar Cells for Conversion of Solar Energy into Electricity

Abstract

One of the highly emerging topics in photo-voltaic devices at cost-effective and simplistic fabrication has been earned in Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). Among the various components in DSSCs, the photosensitive molecule termed a dye in the DSSC system takes a vital role. Usually, metal-based dyes have a high emphasis in the literature, the main purpose of current research work is to improve the efficiency of DSSCs with organic semiconducting materials. The design and synthesis of new organic molecules have contributed certain semiconducting properties that are structured as Donor-and#61552; spacer-Acceptor arrangements. The newly designed organic photosensitizer, co-additive and co-sensitizer may be explored as cost-effective materials newline
