Geographical Distribution of Diseases on the Basis of Regional Disparities in Socio Economic Parameters of Jammu Division JandK State

Abstract

Like in India Jammu and Kashmir state experiences high degree disparities in socio economic parameters at inter and intra regional levels. In Jammu Division, except at some established urban centres it is the countryside where a predominantly large population live under the grim shadow of poverty, unemployment, ill health, unhygienic settings, socio-economic disparities, spatial infrastructural imbalances and extreme backwardness. Therefore, the present study aims at investigating socio-economic correlates that causes ill health in the division. newline
