Abstract
The revolution in online education has greatly increased the motivation of working professionals to upskill themselves and take up higher education. This has also transformed the learning and development landscape within organisations who have evolved greatly with roles emerging to match the industry growth. Therefore, upskilling and higher education courses have become a core need of employees and employers. However, it is also true that online instruction is engaging the Human Organism which is not as simple as a face-to-face delivery. Many factors internal and external have a play in impacting their ease to complete these along with work. Most interestingly the working professionals who had to conventionally take a break in their careers to complete higher education have now got the privilege to complete their higher education needs while at work through the concept of Continuing Education . This enables them to take up online programs and complete them at their pace with work. However, it has been also observed that for working professionals this is very difficult since many factors come into play because of the various environments they are in at the same time- personal family conditions, workplace factors and their own adaptability to technology-based learning. In addition to this the online program facilitation and resources become key factors of motivation as well.
