dc.description.abstractThe Semantic Web provides a strong, sensible approach to achieve mastery over a large number of data and data services. Semantic Web provides a platform for making data better and not worst. Virginia Tech has a very nice slogan We invent the Future . In many ways, this applies to the Semantic Web. The potential reach and expressive power of the Semantic Web offer entirely new opportunities to the use and explore of information. Semantic forms the current wave to improve the ability to manage and master the growing amount of information and its many relationships. Semantic Web reasoning is one of the strong representatives of Semantic Web advancements. The Semantic Web offers an opportunity to researchers for representing the data in formats which are amenable to automated processing, integration and reasoning. Data is monarch and it provides even greater value if connected with other valuable resources to create linked data. The current area of research includes data integration from mash-ups to the enterprise, improved search and advance reasoning. As machine readability increase with the increase in ontologies, reasoning capabilities can offer even more value. This creates several challenges for reasoning solutions. Reasoning must not only address the multitude of different rule engines through standards but also improve their performance if they have to meet various challenges to handle the growing information base. newline
