Throughout the world, widespread application of renewable energy is newlineincreasing day-by-day to reduce the environmental effects due to fossil fuel newlinebased electricity generation methods. The non-conventional energy sources newlinelike fuel cell, solar photovoltaic (PV), etc., and storage devices like battery, newlineultra-capacitor, etc., are most widely used nowadays. These sources are used newlinein the range of few watt to 10 kW by the residential consumers to meet their newlinelocal electricity demands. But, the major problem with these sources is the newlinelow output voltage. Though the boost converter is used in the recent past to newlineincrease the voltage, limited voltage gain and higher switch stress are the newlinemajor constraints. Therefore, a necessity for high step-up DC-DC converters newlinearises to interface the low voltage DC sources like solar PV with the higher newlinevoltage load or the utility grid. The DC-DC converters with high step-up DC- newlinevoltage gain play a vital role in integrating low voltage DC sources. Though newlineseveral converter topologies are reported in the recent past, attempts have newlinebeen made to reduce the components, especially the switching devices, newlinepassive elements, converter losses, etc., of the converter. newlineThe high gain DC-DC converter topology viz., Multiple Switched newlineImpedance Network (MSIN) based converter topology has been proposed. newlineThe operation of the MSIN based converter in continuous and discontinuous newlineconduction modes are discussed. Also, the boundary conditi newline
