Abstract
Objective
newlineThis study sought to evaluate in the treatment of Grade 1 SLAP (Superior Labrum Anterior
newlineand Posterior) lesions the efficacy of Kinesio Taping combined with exercise therapy vs
newlineSham Taping coupled with exercise therapy. Measuring utilizing the Visual Analogue Scale
newline(VAS) and the Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI), which comprises both the
newlineSPADI Pain and SPADI Disability subscales, the main results assessed were pain intensity
newlineand shoulder function. The study sought to find whether Kinesio Taping provides more
newlinetherapeutic advantages in functional recovery and pain relief than Sham Taping.
newlineMethods
newlineDivided into two groups Group A (Kinesio Taping in conjunction with exercise therapy)
newlineand Group B (Sham Taping in conjunction with exercise therapy) a randomized controlled
newlineexperiment comprised 100 individuals diagnosed with Grade 1 SLAP lesions. Four times
newlinewere outcome assessments taken: baseline, Week 2, Week 4, and Week 6. Pain intensity was
newlinemeasured on the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS); shoulder-specific pain and impairment was
newlineassessed using the Shoulder Pain and impairment Index (SPADI). Pairwise and independent
