Cloud computing has become a rapid growing industry that fundamentally expanded newlinethe realm of possibilities organizations can accomplish with technology. More than the newlineentire cost minimization, there exist several deliberated goals in deploying cloud newlinesystems in the telecom sector. Combining cloud computing technology and networks, newlinetelecom service providers can become a significant force in the cloud ecosystem and, newlinemore importantly, to return to the growth path. Based on operations performance newlineobjectives, financial flexibility, internal and external environment, and risk-bearing newlinecapacity, the telecom service providers can adopt an optimum cloud strategy that best newlinefit the organizational needs. newlineThis work evaluates the impact of cloud adoption by Telecom Service newlineProviders (TSP). A detailed study on the existing research of major cloud adoption newlineframework reveals that most of the frameworks focused on relative benefits, cost and newlinegeneral risks on IT perspective and not assimilated the enormous potential opportunities newlineand associated risk of cloud due to telecom service provider s distinctive assets and newlinecapabilities. Apart from a general assumption that cloud improves or maintains the newlinestatus quo on operations performance, there were only a few studies that quantitatively newlinemeasure the impact of cloud adoption in operations performance in the telecom sector. newlineIt is essential to conduct holistic research on cloud adoption decisions based on the newlinebenefits, cost, general and domain-specific risks, and potential business opportunities. newlineThe principal aim of this research is to develop a strategic framework for cloud newlineadoption decisions for telecom service providers by examining the key factors that newlineinfluence operations performance in telecom organizations. newline
