Rapid progress in the electronic and aviation industries demands materials with multifunctional properties due to miniaturization of devices. Multifunctional properties can be achieved through hybridization of reinforced polymer composites. Hybrid filled polymeric composite materials are a promising material in electronic industries, especially as potting and encapsulation compound. Exploring the alternative filler materials for hybridization through experimentation is costlier, needs controlled environment and time-consuming. Though the analytical micromechanical material models are attractive and provide a better physical insight, they are not enough to accurately represent the interaction of particles and the effect of hybrid inclusion. Therefore, there is need of a predictive tool for predicting the response of heterogeneous materials. In recent years, the numerical prediction is becoming increasingly popular for a realistic evaluation of properties with the advanced computational facilities. Numerical homogenization is accomplished through two steps, the first step is to realize the microstructure of the heterogeneous materials and the second step is to perform the numerical simulation. From the detailed literature review, it is found that numerical homogenization based on Stochastic Volume Element (SVE), Microstructure and Probabilistic model in the prediction of effective properties of hybrid composites in electronic applications are scarcely reported. newline
