| dc.description.abstract | Due to increase in population, the need of power drastically newlineincreases day by day. Current attention moved towards renewable power newlinegeneration. These include solar energy, Wind energy, and Bio mass and newlinehydro power. Among these, great attention is towards solar power newlinegeneration using solar PV cells. Everyone on earth is focusing on newlinedistributed energy resources. newlineScenario 1: High-gain DC-DC converters attracted significant newlineresearch interest in the era of widely dispersed renewable energy sources. newlineTo enable very high-gain output voltage, the converter topology has two newlinequasi-impedance source networks and a voltage multiplier cell unit. This newlinework also suggests using a non-linear carrier controller which embodies newlinetwo loops within it: facilitates the input variations and the other loop newlineassists load regulations. The input variations due to varying irradiation of newlinephotovoltaic are alleviated by employing the perturb and observe newlinemaximum power point tracking mechanism. newlineScenario 2: The non-linear behaviour during the battery newlinecharging application is solved using an adaptive Sliding Mode Control newline(SMC) technique. The proposed converter uses Contactless Energy newlineTransfer (CET) system that provides a suitable reactive power newlinecompensation for the design. The winding parameters of the inductance newlineare mathematically modeled with low coupling factor to remove the newlinevoltage and current harmonics. The non-linearity at the output voltage is newlinereduced when using the SMC. The controller design show the setting newlinetime of the DC voltage under such disturbance is reduced to 97%. The newlinevi newlineproposed system is mathematically modeled and simulated using newlineMATLAB/Simulink. newlineScenario 3: The Partial Shading Condition (PSC) in a solar newlinepanel with a dc/dc converter is presented with an improved MPPT newlinealgorithm. The irregular nature of the output from the Solar PV is newlinecontrolled and linearized using the proposed PandO method of MPPT. newlineHowever, the traditional MPPT uses the Particle Swarm Optimization newline(PSO) which was not much effective in PSC.
