| dc.description.abstract | In recent days, due to the industrial proliferations and uncontrolled newlinegrowth of population, environmental pollution is the major problem being faced by newlineour planet. Especially, industrial effluent plays a deteriorating role to the newlineenvironment through the discharge of heavy metals from industrial wastewaters newlineincluding the mining and metallurgy, electroplating industries, leather and ceramic newlineindustry, agro-chemical industries, etc. Heavy metals are recognized as the longterm newlinehazardous contaminants to the environment due to their high toxicity, retention newlinein the soil and accumulation in the body. In electroplating industries, there is a newlineconsiderable amount of heavy metals released into the residual water. Electroplating newlineprocesses rinse water is the major source of heavy metal pollution in plating newlineindustries. Hence, the major concern is to completely treat the effluent containing newlineheavy metals; before it is discharged into the environment newline | |
