| dc.description.abstract | Mango is an allotetraploid (2nand#8201;=and#8201;40) with a predicted genome size of approximately 439 Mb. Despite its huge economic importance genomic resources in mango are scarce and genetics of useful horticultural traits are poorly understood. The complete mango genome sequence is also not available yet. However, with the advent of next generation sequencing techniques like Illumina HiSeq2000 and Roche 454, some reports have started pouring in to enrich our knowledge about the mango transcriptome. newline | |
