| dc.description.abstract | To amplify the strength of the fuzzy approach for analyzing fuzzy transportation problems, assignment, transshipment, travelling salesman and critical path problem, several critical issues related to fuzzy techniques were reviewed, and existing and new fuzzy methods were adapted for analyzing the problems. The eventual intention of this research is to decrease the number of iterations to acquire optimal solution. This goal is achieved by many techniques namely NWC, MMM, RMM, ZSM, VAM etc. Fuzzy transportation problems are unraveled by different methods like MAM, ATM, BCM and Geometric Mean Method. Special techniques like FRMM, FOAM, FAM and BCM for unraveling the fuzzy assignment problems are conferred with numerical example. The elucidation of fuzzy transshipment problem is established using Method of Magnitude. The project confers the algorithm for fuzzy critical path problem using method of magnitude and the obtained optimum solution is compared with existing methods. Mixed Intuitionistic Fuzzy Shortest Cyclic Route Problem is unraveled by RMM and OAM and defuzzified with ranking methods. As a part of this research work various ranking methods for fuzzy numbers are used defuzzification of fuzzy numbers.
