Analysis of Converter for Grid Connected Renewable Energy System

Abstract

newline The aim of this research work is to focus on the power quality issues of grid connected fed Wind Turbine and PV systems such as harmonics, voltage and frequency fluctuations which have to be corrected for ensuring stable and reliable operation of the grid. newlineIn this research work, grid connected inverter for photovoltaic and wind energy conversion system is chosen and the results of solar PV and wind turbine is compared with various converters like three port converter, SEPIC converter, Fly back converter, CUK converter and finally with Interleaved boost converter is done. newlineThis research work also analyses the different kind of converters with different based control technique which has been verified. Finally concluded that Interleaveaved boost converter using ANFIS technique are overcome the disadvantages compared to other converters. The output is designed using MATLAB and are also simulated result outcomes are reported. newlineThis research work is also analyses the interleaved boost converter with the total harmonics distortion by maintaining the stability of the grid. The entire work is simulated in MATLAB/ Simulink and the simulation result of THD, power factor and efficiency is reported by using Adaptive Neuro-fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). newlineThe proposed scheme uses PandO-based MPPT for the solar-based PV system and Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC) for the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) of the wind turbine-driven Synchronous generator. newlineThis research also describes an energy management system (EMS) for a grid- connected photovoltaic solar system with MPPT control that is connected to the grid is presented. newline
