Certain investigations for blackhole attack on aodv in mobile adhoc networks using fuzzy trust approach

Abstract

Wireless networks are in advance popularity to its crest today, as almost all the users crave wireless connectivity and Communication irrespective of their location. Mobile Ad hoc Networking (MANET) is one newlineamong them due to its heterogeneity of its access. Threat of Security attacks increases on the MANET due to its vulnerability.Black hole attack is one of the main security threats in MANET, which misguide the traffic and redirected to such a node that advertise hold shortest path but actually does not exist in the network. It s a resemblance to the black hole in the cosmos in which things disappear. MANETs must have a secure methodology for data transmission and communication which is reasonably challenging and crucial issue. In order to afford secure data communication and transmission, many researchers worked exclusively on the security issues in MANETs, and many secure different types of routing protocols and security measures within the accessing networks were proposed. The previous mechanism done on black hole attack security issues in MANETswere based on reactive routing protocol like Ad-Hoc On demand Distance Vector (AODV). Different kinds of security attacks were analyzed, and correspondingresults were stated how these attacks interrupt the performance of MANET newline newline
