| dc.description.abstract | The main objective of this thesis is to design feeding and interfacing network of high- newlineperformance rectangular microstrip patch antenna (RMPA) for microwave applications by newlineconsidering design procedures, cost-effectiveness, smaller size, front-to-back ratio (FBR), newlinegain, impedance bandwidth (IBW). Two different antennas are designed to operate in 2.4 GHz newlineS-band and ultra-wideband (UWB) region respectively. To use these antennas for beam newlinesteering, a 4×4 Butler matrix is designed as a feeding network. To interface this antenna with newlineother microwave devices a Balun is designed. These feeding and interfacing networks are based newlineon microstrip transmission line technology and operate at a 2.4 GHz frequency band. newline newline | |
