In this modern technological world with remarkable success as a DMS material, tin newlineoxide (SnO2) has vastly been explored among other oxide semiconductors for the last newlinefew decades. The theoretical understanding and the advanced experimental facilities newlinehave made SnO2 to be in the lime light of research community. The development of newlinepoint defects such as oxygen vacancies is a blessing for the material to exhibit n-type newlineconductivity and room temperature ferromagnetism for spintronic applications and also newlineto have potential application as a biosensor. Hence the two important factors like: the newlinesynthesis of nanoparticles with understanding the defects and utilization of these for newlinebiosensing applications are the motivations for the current thesis work. Subsequently the newlineresearch work has been planned. newlineTo queue up in the contest of developing and altering underlying features of SnO2 newlinedifferent types of samples have been prepared, such as: newlineand#61623; Nanocrystalline undoped SnO2 samples were synthesized by the auto newlinecombustion method then calcined at different temperatures (650°C to 950°C) for newline5 hrs. newlineand#61623; SnxNi1-xO2 and SnxMn1-xO2 samples (x = 0.03 to 0.15) were prepared via auto newlinecombustion method and calcined at a constant temperature (850°C) for 5 hrs. newlineand#61623; Undoped SnO2/Al and Transition metal (Ni) doped SnO2/Al samples newline(electrodes) were fabricated by chemically wet and dry technique (CWD). newlineThe prepared samples have been characterized by recording and analyzing the data of newlineXRD, UV-visible spectroscopy, Raman, FTIR, and Vibratory Sample Magnetometer newline(VSM) measurement. At first the XRD analysis revealed single phase rutile structure for newlineundoped and doped SnO2 system. In case of Ni doped SnO2 samples, Ni integration is newlineobtained till x=0.12% while total integration of Mn is observed in SnxMn1-xO2 samples. newlineThe SEM analysis of the SnO2 samples has revealed that the particles are non-uniform newlinewhile spherical grains have been noticed for both Ni- and Mn- doped SnO2 samples. newlineFrom UV- visible absorption spectroscopy no variation in band gap is observe
