Role of central bureau of investigation in India with special reference to economic scams a study

Abstract

Scams are kind of corruption. Corruption in any structure is treated as a serious disease is brought about by numerous social and economic evils in the society. It harms the good and moral filaments of the civilization. Economic scams have been viewed as one of the most prominent difficulties of obstructing the development of the country. Corruption in India is a result of the nexus between the bureaucracy, politics and criminals. CBI has crucial role in investigation of economic scams. The finding of the study is that the nonindependence of the CBI is responsible for inadequacy and ineffectiveness of the agency as the CBI is working under the control of department of Ministry of personal, pension and public grievance and in direct control of the Central Government. newline
