Abstract
India is developing at a breakneck pace. In past century, India has seen
newlineimmense industrial development in all the manufacturing sectors. This
newlineindustrial development led to various new industrial states being developed in
newlineall parts of India. This development could be attributed to the industrial
newlinerevolution in Western Countries. Industrial revolution in the West brought
newlinelarge scale industries with high grade industrial technology to India. Till this
newlineparadigm shift in Industrial sector in India, the production was carried out with
newlinethe help of human or animal labour and that too on a very tiny scale. The
newlineevolution of the Indian small-scale industry can be traced back to even as early
newlineas Rig-Veda. There are a number of institutions and agencies engaged in the
newlineareas of credit lending, technology support services, infrastructural services and
newlinea host of marketing and support related services etc.
newlineIndustrialization brings about social and economic changes that are essentially
newlineimportant for sustainable survival and development of human society in
newlinebackground of continuously increasing population size, shrinking agricultural
newlinelands, inadequacy of various natural resources and unemployment. The major
newlinereason behind this is working capital of the small-scale industries. Thus, this
newlinestudy is planned to work out the working capital management of small scale
newlineindustries.
