Abstract
The present research was the first of its kind to be carried out and was motivated by the fact
newlinethat there were not enough studies in the area of education abroad in Jharkhand.The study
newlinewas undertaken to derive some understanding about the factors influencing the choice
newlinedecision of Indian aspirants to study abroad.
newlineIn meeting the research objectives, the following objectives are formulated in this study.
newline1. To identify the factors influencing choice decision of Jharkhandstudents to study abroad
newline2. To study the benefits that Jharkhand students looking for while making study abroad
newlinedecision.
newline3. To study the obstacles that Jharkhand students perceive while making study abroad
newlinedecision.
newline4. To examine the relationship between factors influencingand Jharkhand students choice
newlinedecision to study abroad
newline5. To study the impact of influencing factors on students choice decision to study abroad
newline6. To find out whether factors identified as influencing choice decision vary with
newlinedemographic profile of the students
newlineIn order to achieve the above mentioned objectives, a set of 6 hypotheses have been
newlineformulated for this study and tested. The results were analysed to meet the research
newlineobjectives.The study was undertaken to collect the responses from the students of Jharkhand,
newlinespecifically from those who were taking preparation classes for abroad education to find out
newlinethe significant factors, through factor analysis,for identifying and investigating the key
newlinefactors influencing international students decision-making in choosing educational
newlineinstitutions abroad.
newlineThis study was implicated with the gathering of a combination of qualitative and quantitative
newlinedata collection techniques and this enhanced the validity and reliability of this study.
