Abstract

Communication technologies have transformed the way education is being delivered in newlineeducational institutes. The traditional classroom teaching with blackboard and chalk has newlinebeen replaced with video conferencing platforms, interactive classrooms, infographics, newlinevirtual classrooms, etc. Web 2.0 revolution and the rise of new media have also newlineinfluenced education categorically. The rapid technological changes have influenced newlineevery sector. Educators cannot ignore the changes that digital media brings to our life newlineand education. Covid 19 has brought about major and sudden changes in the newlineeducational sector. It has turned the education system upside down and led to expeditious newlineadaptation of new media in the education sector. The knowledge of technological skills newlinerelated to media is important for the students who are studying media as a discipline of newlineeducation. In this study, an attempt is made to find the adaptation of technological skills newlinerelated to media and the role of perceived usefulness of these skills and perceived ease newlineof use in the adaptation. The aim is to to analyze the use of new media after the pandemic newlinein media education and the experiences of the learners and educationists. The research newlinemethodology which is used is both quantitative and qualitative. A survey is conducted newlineamong the learners of media to find their adaptation and expertise in technology/skills newlinerelated to media. A focused group discussion is conducted among the learners of media newlineand interviews are conducted among the media educationists to find their experiences of newlinethe adaptation of technology and teaching learning process during Covid 19 pandemic. newlineKeywords: new media, communication, media education, adaptation of technology. newline
