Surfactants, amphiphilic compounds with both hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups newlineaggregate in aqueaous medium and in presence of other additives to form different organized newlineassemblies e.g. micelles, reversed micelles, microemulsions, liposomes, vesicles etc. In aqueous newlinemedium, the aggregation of the surfactants is due to hydropobic interaction. Nonionic newlinesurfactants, mostly having oxyethylene head groups, characteristically exhibit clouding newlinebehaviour in micellar or microemulsion media and this behaviour supposed to be due to newlinedehydration of oxyethylene group of the surfactant. The present thesis deals with: newline
