In many countries, low back pain is a chronic condition; in fact, nine out of ten people will suffer from it at some point in their lives. The incidence of low back pain is quite common, and its occurrence leads to impairment, which in turn leads to absenteeism from the job, retiring early, and lost business hours. The incidence of lower back pain is quite high. The use of computers in the workplace has given rise to a new category of occupational health issues referred to as computer-related problems. Postural back distress is a major public and workplace health concern, particularly within the information technology (IT) and business process outsourcing (BPO) industries2-4 . This issue is especially prevalent in the workplace. Occupational health professionals in India are gradually becoming more aware of a new category of vocational disorders gaining momentum among people working in the information technology industry. If these problems are not acknowledged, they could lead to debilitating and life-changing injuries, forcing people to switch professions. newline
