A Study Opinions of Primary School Teachers Regarding Gunotsav Programme

Abstract

There are many problems at primary level of education. There are many problems with children, teachers and education at the school level. The Gunotsav Programme seeks to alleviate some of these problems. But it is important to know what teachers think about the program and what changes are seen in the program. With this in mind, the investigator has tried to know the opinions of the teachers about the Gunotsav Programme.To collect information for study, readymade equipment was not available. So researcher himself developed Opinionnaire and used it after taking expert views. A himself developed Opinionnaire was used to know the opinions of the teachers about the Gunotsav Programme. The state of Gujarat was divided into four zones and total 815 primary teachers from across the state were selected as the sample and data was collected from them. Data was analyzed and interpreted by using chi-square and the findings of the research were concluded. Based on these findings, educational implications were determined and future research was directed. By organizing periodic parent meetings in the school, organizing one-day guidance camps at BRC-CRC level and training at district level, teachers can be made aware of the importance of Gunotsav Programme.The state government has started many facilities and activities in primary schools to promote all kinds of physical facilities and education. Teachers can be made aware of the many facilities provided at the school level through the Gunotsav program. Efforts can be made to get the teachers to accept this educational program run by the Gujarat government. newline newline
