Abstract
In the next generation networks for multimedia applications the latency and
newlinedata rate are becoming very important factors. Time varying demands of the quality
newlineof service is expected in terms of the bandwidth heterogeneity, propagation medium
newlineand traffic flow. Various dynamic resource reservation mechanisms with
newlinechangeable demand patterns are providing the guaranteed QoS compliance.
newlineNow days there are three service models which are generally used for
newlineproviding the services. The models are Best effort model, IntServ model and
newlineDiffServ model. As best effort service model is used for IP based internet services in
newlinevery vast part of the globe but it is not using the QoS. Sharing of the available
newlineresources between various flows is the main focus at IntServ model. But in the
newlineDiffServ the focus is changed to traffic classes and the resources available are
newlineshared between these traffic classes. IntServ and DiffServ models are using the
newlineQoS for providing the quality to the users.
newlineSo here the proposed model will provide the advantages of IntServ and
newlineDiffServ at one model and the Mathematical Based Policer (MBP) algorithm
newlinedesigned for differentiating traffic classes for getting the priority traffic allocation.
newlineFurther to improve the early detection here in proposed model marking
newlinebased Inherited Adaptive Multilevel Random Early Detection Algorithm (IAMRED)
newlinearchitecture is enhanced with Class-Based Weighted Fair Queuing (CBWFQ)
newlinesystem which assigns a percentage of the burst size to each class according to the
newlineBest Bandwidth assigned for each class of NGN. For getting the optimum
newlineutilization of the available bandwidth, here the bandwidth broking concept is used.
newlineThe proposed QoS enhanced router architecture improves the performance
newlineof IAMRED and CBWFQ mechanism in terms of reducing the delaying
newlineprobabilities and increasing the system inter-domain link utilization and enables to
newlinecompute the domain level path with optimized multiple constrains for NGN
