Abstract
newline PREFACE OF THE THESIS
newlineAll living being depend on water. Water is the important component on the earth surface. Water
newlineis the combination of one Hydrogen atom and two oxygen atoms, Chemical formula of water is
newlineH2O. Present research work is study on the treatment of river, pond, canal, drain and lake waste
newlinewater sample at Aligarh region (U.P) India. It defines the objectives of work, classifies sampling
newlinearea of Aligarh region to facilitate sampling through wide coverage of rivers, pond, lake, canal
newlineand drain in Aligarh region. Water samples were collected from seven sites from the Aligarh
newlineregion.
newlineThe present study includes brief discussion about the iron oxide nanoparticles, aplication of
newlinenanomaterials and synthesis method. The current research work describes the use of iron oxide
newlinenanomaterils which were synthesized by Melia azedarach (pride of India) / Aloe aculeate plant
newlineleaves and effect of different reaction parameters such as precursor salt concentration, leaf broth
newlinepercentage and temperature on the conversion rate and morphology of the Fe3O4 NPs were
newlineanalyzed. Synthesis of iron oxide nanoparticles using plant extracts is the most adopted method
newlineof green, eco-friendly production of nanomaterials. The performance of the adsorbent is
newlinecharacterized by the adsorption capacity, which is estimated using batch adsorption process.
newlineThe synthesized iron oxide nanomaterials were characterized by using the various techniques
newlinelike X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) spectroscopy, Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM),
newlineScanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) for surface water area study. The effect of other
newlineparameters such as pH, adsorbent dosage, contact time and concentration of metal ions is
newlineevaluated for the removal of Ca, Mg, Cd, Pb, Cr, Hg ions. Main Objective of research work to
newlinedetermine the physical and chemical parameter such as pH value, Temperature, conductivity,
newlineTDS, total alkalinity, hardness of water, BOD, COD, Turbidity, Dissolved oxygen and
newlineconcentration of fluoride, calcium, magnesium, cadmium, lead, mercury,
