Cloud computing offers a huge set of resources like storage and networks which are newlinecontrolled by the service providers for data owners. Due to storage of data on remote newlinelocation, owners do not have direct control over their data in the cloud. To overcome newlinethis issue, cryptography in the cloud can be used to ensure that data can be protected newlinewhile in storage and client side encryption is the basic requirement. While trying to newlineencrypt and decrypt user data, Hyper Elliptic Curve Cryptography (HECC) attackers, newlinedue to the hardness in the Discrete Logarithm Problem and minimal key size. The newlineresearch work mainly focuses on providing data protection in the cloud for users using newlineEnhanced Hyper Elliptic Curve Cryptography (E-HECC). newlineThe first model provides data security for the user data in the cloud using HECC for newlineencryption of data and SHA-3 is employed for maintaining the integrity of data. The newlineproposed model using HECC takes 562 ms for encryption and 31 ms for decryption newlineof data when the file size is 40 kB which is less compared to the existing model using newlineECC with 2374 ms for encryption and 1381 ms for decryption for the same file size. The newlineresults show that the proposed model using HECC provides better data security than the newlineexisting model which uses ECC. newlineThe second work proposes a data security model in the cloud which encrypts and newlinedecrypts data using HECC and for the faster retrieval of data, keyword based search newlinescheme is utilized. HECC model takes 674 ms for search time which is less when newlinecompared to the ECC model with 774 ms for search. The result shows that the proposed newlinemodel takes less time for search while compared with the existing model. newlineThe third model uses a double encryption method with ElGamal technique and Enhanced newlineHyperelliptic Curve Cryptography (E-HECC). ElGamal technique uses Modified newlineCuckoo Search Algorithm (MCSA) for selecting the key and Gravitational Search newlineAlgorithm is used for selecting the key called as auxiliary input in E-HECC.
