Market is powered by innumerable product ranges, newlinequality offers, shops and shopping malls, door-to-door publicity and tele-shopping, newlinepublicity through hoardings and pamphlets etc. In such a heterogeneous market newlinescenario, a vendor tries to attract customers using various business tactics. Generally, newlineschemes are introduced for discount on products and buy-one-get-one free offers. At newlinetimes both schemes are merged. So, it would be just appropriate to correlate the newlinerequirements of the consumer and provide a suitable catalog of schemes to achieve newlinewin-win situation for consumer and the vendor. newlineA progression of challenges have recently appeared in the data mining field, newlinegenerated by the immediate shift in status from academic to applied science and the newlineensuing needs of real-life applications like internet search, social networks etc. With newlinethe prompt development in information technology, storage capacity, data collection newlinecapacity, networking, data mining applications are now quickly expanding in all newlineengineering domains and sciences, including nanotechnology and biomedical sciences. newlineFrequent pattern mining plays an important role in many data mining tasks, which newlineis a subpart of association rule mining. Association rule mining is a two step process. newlineThe first part is to find the frequent patterns and the second part is to generate the newlinerules from the patterns. The second part is straight forward, so most of the research newlinecommunity has concentrated on the first part i.e. to generate frequent patterns from newlinethe huge amount of data. newlineEfficient algorithms to discover frequent patterns are crucial in data mining newlineresearch.
