An Empirical Study of Entrepreneurial Capacity Building in India And To Develop an Entrepreneurial Competency Framework

Abstract

India is making strides towards self-sustainability and fostering entrepreneurship through government initiatives such as Skills India, Digital India, and AtamNirbharBharat. However, despite having a large ecosystem and a young population, many startups in India fail within their first two years. A country having 1000 universities and 40,000 colleges with more than 50% population as youth is still in a nascent stage of developing sustainable entrepreneurs. To address this issue, a study has been conducted to develop an entrepreneurial competency framework and analyze the capacity building for entrepreneurs in India. newlineThe study emphasizes the importance of strategic behavior and the relationship between entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial competencies, including personality traits and the working environment. Previous research has not focused on the challenges faced by the new India, but this study aims to improve the entrepreneurial framework by linking it to these difficulties. newline
