Indian Rural Women Empowerment Throgh Employment Opportunities and Challenges

Abstract

Women empowerment is the progression of instilling power in women for its use in newlineone s individual and community life. Women constitute almost half of India s newlinepopulation. The economy is strongly correlated to the empowerment level of the newlinepotential workforce. Precisely, any woman who is employed is empowered because (1) newlineshe has the power to use the money for herself and (2) decide the number of currency newlinenotes to contribute, to the economy. newlineThe goal of this study is to understand the status of women in India and globally. The newlinewaves of feminism are studied to analyze where the gender equality struggles began. newlineThe women thought (and wanted) to be equal to men which are a current demand too. It newlineis inferred from data sources that there is a belief in Indian culture that a house is a newlinehome because of a woman s warmth. Yet, there is obnoxious belief in certain homes newlinethat woman is a materialistic object. This makes them a victim of personal crimes newline(dominant in the 21st century). On one hand, women empowerment has played an newlineessential role in the capacity building of several industries that exist today. And on the newlineother, many women are financially dependent because of n number of reasons that are newlinewritten about in this thesis. newline
