Abstract
newlineThe existing health care information systems are heterogeneous and
newlinelack interoperability among them Hence standardization has become
newlineimportant among healthcare service providers physicians researchers and
newlineother relevant stake holders across the globe for processing retrieving
newlinetransferring and storing this heterogeneous health care information
newlineVarious ISO standards IEC standards and CENELEC standards are
newlineavailable for production of health care equipment SGML HL7 and DICOM
newlinestandards have become indispensable in the field of health information
newlineprocessing transfer and storage
newlineAs long as Healthcare field had limitations such as acquisition
newlinestorage retrieval processing decision making and transmission in the recent
newlinepast most of its usefulness could not be disseminated to everybody compared
newlineto other fields which had adopted common procedure document developed by
newlinestandard making bodies in a particular field Standardization of biosignal data
newlinefiles strongly facilitates international and multicenter collaboration and
newlinemultiple utility of the same data
