Multi objective optimization of multi robot task allocation for foraging and non foraging tasks

Abstract

The need for improving the productivity of modern industries is increasing day by day To achieve the improved productivity levels automation of routine jobs that causes fatigue to human beings and other such jobs is inevitable Autonomous mobile robots have proved in boosting the productivity levels in such activities like handling moving manipulating and packing of materials While using multiple mobile robots for such activities the decision of allocating them to the tasks becomes much complex Effectively allocating the robots to the task would increase the efficiency of the system to multiple folds The problem of finding a better allocation of the robots to the task is known as Multi Robot Task Allocation MRTA Problem The nature of the task considered in this work requires joint operation of multiple robots The efficacy of the task completion depends on the optimized use of the robots In situations where multiple objectives are to be achieved simultaneously optimization of task allocation to these robots is required This research finds the solution for multi objective optimization of multi robot task allocation newline
