dc.description.abstractUse of fossil fuels such as petrol and diesel is so intense that newlinethere could be a possible scarcity of these fuels in the future In addition newlinestringent emission norms is another reason that lead us to the search for newlinesuitable alternate fuels in the place of petrodiesel Over a period of research newlinevegetable oils have proved to be effective source of alternative fuel in the newlineplace of petrodiesel However in the long run it causes major problems such newlineas injector chocking deposit build up in the combustion chamber piston ring newlinesticking and engine oil dilution Hence these vegetable oils are converted to newlinebiodiesel through transesterification process to reduce viscosity Though these newlinebiodiesels are effective alternative for the petrodiesel the usage of these fuels newlineincreases the NOx emission due to the presence of oxygen in biodiesels newline newlineen_US
