dc.description.abstract Directive Principles of State Policy is the novel feature of the Indian Constitution. These Directive Principles are the strength of welfare state and provide inspiration for the development of the country based on the social order. As the Preamble is considered as the key to understand the Indian Constitution, the DPSP are its quintessence. DPSP, as projected in Part IV of Constitution of India, point out that freedom fighters wanted social and economic reforms along with the political independence, to provide maximum economic and social justice to the people. The current need for the implementation of these principles of Part IV of the Constitution is essential for victorious democratic system with socialist objectives. If it is ignored by any government, people will ignore that government during the elections. Although these principles are non- enforceable in the Courts , they are known to be the essence of the Constitution. Due to lack of financial resources, precursors of our Constitution, removed the enforceability of these principles, as it would be difficult to implement these without financial support. Still, the DPSP have been defined as fundamental guidelines for Republican form of Government . Therefore it is the essential for the State to implement these DPSP for governance of the country . newline
