The thermal performance of a radiator can be increased by newlineimproving the heat transfer characteristics of the working fluid. Nanofluid is newlineone such fluid that has increased heat transfer characteristics. Nanofluids are newlinesynthesized by mixing nanoparticles and base fluids. The heat transfer newlinecharacteristics of nanofluid depend on thermophysical properties of newlinenanoparticles. Addition of a single nanoparticle may not fulfill all the newlinerequirements. More often, two different kinds of nanoparticles are added newlinetogether and then mixed in the base fluids to attain the benefits of both newlinenanoparticles. This kind of nanofluid is called hybrid nanofluid (HyNf). newlineHybrid nano fluids are mainly used in heat transfer applications. In this newlineresearch, a hybrid nano coolant (hybrid nanofluid) is used to study the newlineenhancement of the thermal performance of a radiator. newlineAn experimental setup with an engine radiator is fabricated to newlineanalyze its heat transfer performance. Hybrid nano coolant (HyNc) is newlineconsidered the working fluid for this radiator analysis. Here, the hybrid nano newlinecoolant is prepared using the non-functionalization method by dispersing newlinecarbon-based nanoparticles such as graphene nanoplatelets (GnP) and multiwalled newlinecarbon nanotubes (MWNCT) in a 1:1 ratio into the existing radiator newlinecoolant (base fluid). HyNc is synthesized in different nanoparticle volume newlinepercentages of 0.05%, 0.1%, 0.15%, 0.2%, 0.3%, 0.4%, and 0.5%. The zeta newlinepotential test was conducted with the higher volume percentage sample, and it newlinewas found from the results that the synthesized HyNc shows superior stability newlinefor long periods. newline
