dc.description.abstractBiofuels are an attractive alternative to gasoline. Renewable bio-sources such as newlinelignocellulosic biomass (LCB) offers a cleaner, sustainable and affordable alternative for raw newlinematerials for various applications including bioethanol production. The agro crop residues being the newlinemost abundant source of carbon in nature have significantly helped to alleviate global warming and newlinebalance the growing global energy demands. Bioprocessing in this context plays a key role in newlinelowering the cost in many industrial methods. In this research work, we demonstrate the complete newlineutilization of biomass for energy and sensing applications in bioprocessing and plasmonics newlinerespectively. newline
