Design and Implementation of Energy Performance Routing Protocol EPRP with Low Mobility in MANETs

Abstract

Mobile Ad-hoc Networks MANETs is one of the most significant emerging research newlineareas in wireless communication. Nodes in MANETs, undergo continuous self-configuration newlinewhere Power-Awareness is an essential issue to improve the communication for all the nodes. newlineMANET nodes are miniature devices with limited energy, memory, transmission range, and newlinecomputational power. Military Sector, Data Networks, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) are newlinepart of applications of MANETs. MANETs find applications in Disaster Recovery Operations, newlineTactical Networks, Environmental, Medical, Home, Traffic Monitoring and Industrial newlineAutomation. Minimizing the Power consumption is one of the main concern in developing WSN newlineapplications. newlineThe researchers in WSN have focused primarily on routing, power consumption and newlineproviding secure measures. In ad hoc network, the WSNs is to gather the data, processing, and newlinerouting. The research community is mainly concentrating on providing energy- efficient paths newlineand many protocols have been designed to provide Energy Efficient routing and Quality of newlineService. Numerous approaches have been proposed for investigating the power consumption of newlinemobile nodes in MANETs. These approaches can help to extend the lifetime of nodes in the networks. newline
