Synthesis and characterization of tailored lanthanide nanostructures for potential applications

Abstract

The work was focused on the fabrication of different types of Ln oxide-based nanostructures followed by their in-depth characterization to explore environmental remediation processes. The functionalization with different organic ligands to improve their biocompatibility and their potential as antimicrobial agents was also investigated. The doped nanostructures and nanocomposites were inspected for adsorption efficacy for organic pollutants and their detailed analysis were carried out to divulge their potential as an effectual adsorbent. newline
